@jmvideo7 – Sorry for late reply! I vary the treats I use – not boring dry stuff but high value “human food” – eg. sausages, ham, roast chicken, cheese, dried liver, leftovers that are ‘safe’ for dog to have in small quantities – Honey’s favourite treat is actually bread, if you can believe it! V useful way to get rid of stale toast!!

@totallyshway86 – I do find the clicker helps as it is a brief, unique, consistent, sound which clearly marks the exact action – no ambiguity. However, a lot of ppl have equal success with a marker word (eg. “Yes!”) – must always in the same tone & pitch & brevity (v hard to achieve with inconsistent humans!). For more complex behaviours, it really helps to break it down into small steps and mark/reward each step clearly so dog is confident before building on the next step. Good luck!

Love this video! Trying to teach our GSP to pick up her toys because she always leaves them scattered all over the house! This is a great help. Do you find the clicker really helps them learn quicker? We don’t have one and wondering if we need one to teach her more advanced things.

Love it !! She’s amazing and the interaction between you two is incredible. Had me laughing and smiling all the way through ! What is Honey’s special treat that you reward her with? Maybe I can do a little better with my Great Dane Marty?
