How to get rid of dog fur/hair on my clothes? ?

My Lab sheds like crazy even though I brush her. I'm constantly vacuuming and cleaning up the hairs all over my rugs and hardwood floors. Then there's all the hair on my clothes, especially the dark colors.

Is there something that makes clean up easier? Also, I'm seeing that all vacuum cleaners are not created equal. Can you recommend one that really picks up the hairs for good?
