OK...this is strange but it works for me. I take my clothes off when I come home(inside out) and change into something else. I wash my clothes inside out, and fold or hang up my clothes inside out. And just before I leave, I turn them right side out, change, and get the hell out of the house before I have a chance to become fuzzy! Like I said, strange-but works for me. ******P.S....B, Thank you for the compliment!?! (I think) To be honest w/ you I haven't actually had to do that in years! Really.Uh Huh. So......?...Er... How about that weather..?!(I DID do that though when I had 6 house cats!) And THAT is a whole 'nother story I'm sure! (You'd probably find it amusing) Maybe I should write a blog on my personal battle fighting extreme animal fur. Or something. Anyway..I'm glad my answer put a smile on your face and made you laugh, even if it was at my expense and honesty! You've left me scarred, and now I find it difficult to open up & trust. I think w/ proper therapy and your help.."Best answer"( by default being a riot & making you laugh?!?) Anyway, it's wortha shot, ask and you shall receive and all that. Enjoy the day

No vacuum or anything will pick up the hairs for good, as you have a high shedding dog. Sometimes a change in diet helps. Talk to your vet about this.

Edit: Yes, you can use a lint roller thing for right before you leave the house. If you use it, and then stay in the house or whatever, it will do no good.

Edit: Long haired breeds shed all year round as well, but just not as much due to it gets matted in their fur.

The Dyson Pet is the absolute best when it comes to Lab hair. You should also keep a healthy supply of lint rollers on hand, you can buy 5 packs at Costco or Sam's club. I have them everywhere...several in my house, 1 in my trunk, 1 in my desk drawer at work and mini versions in my handbag and briefcase.

DYSON vacuums work well

( you are experiencing first hand how SHORT haired breeds shed tons and tons more than the longer haired dogs- which only shed twice a year)

First - they have this brush called the fur buster at Petsmart stores that is phenomenal for removing hair off of the dog.
Secondly - Also at pet stores there is a sponge type looking item. You use it like a lint remover. Very good for removing pet hair from clothes and other articles of clothing.
Thirdly - there are several vacum cleaners that are out there specifically designed to help with pet hair removal. Go to your local Target stores.
