this is good, it concerns a dryer, as in clothes dryer? with woodchips?

I washed my dogs beds, which have the filling of woodchips.
without realizing it one bed, (they are like big pillows fro doggies) had a small hole in it and, it left small wood chips in the washing machine....no problem, I can vaccuum out, but, like a moron, I put them in the dryer, its a normal dryer, and has a pull out flilter from the top, damn if all this wood chipping didnt come flyingout as i went to add different objects into the dryer.... I am talking alot of wood chips, ALOT!
SO do I take t he whole fricker apart and get all the wood chips out or jusrt keep running it with crap towels and let the woodchips get stuck in the trap?
please I am one that love to fix things and if I have to take apart fine but dont lead me down the wrong way/
understand? thansk! and I appreciate!
